Information on the location
The Ellen DeGeneres Show, often shortened to and stylized as ellen, was an American television talk show hosted by comedienne/actress Ellen DeGeneres.
Debuting on September 8th, 2003, it was produced by Telepictures and aired in syndication, including stations owned by Comcast's NBCUniversal subsidiary, in the United States and Canada. For its first five seasons, the show was taped in Studio 11 at NBC Studios in Burbank, California. It later moved to Stage 1 on the nearby Warner Bros. lot. Since the beginning of the sixth season, ellen had been broadcast in high definition. The show had also won 61 Daytime Emmy Awards and 17 People’s Choice Awards as of 2019.
As of 2022, the show has concluded and will not be re-aired. In a May 2021 interview and statement, DeGeneres cited personal and professional reasons for the show's discontinuation.
Appearance in the rap battle
The location appears during the last half of Ellen DeGeneres' second verse when she says, "…like I'm Tom Cruise on a sofa!" DeGeneres appears standing on one of the two chairs before proceeding to sit down. Oprah Winfrey then appears behind DeGeneres in her Chicago office on the video screens. It then stays until Winfrey's third line of her second verse, where she proceeds to change it back to her first background.
