Information on the location
La Santa María de la Inmaculada Concepción (Spanish for The Holy Mary of the Immaculate Conception), or La Santa María, was the lead nao, or cargo vessel, used in Christopher Columbus' expedition of finding a westward passage to Asia. Two other ships, the Niña and the Pinta, accompanied the flagship, however, the Santa María was the largest of the three. Columbus mentioned later in the voyage that the Santa María was not very well suited for exploration as it was much clumsier than the caravels.
While exploring the Caribbean, the Santa María became hopelessly stuck around Christmas Day of 1492 on the nearby island of Hispaniola (originally named La Isla Española by the Spanish), located in the Greater Antilles. Columbus had the ship disassembled and used its timbers to build a fortress, which he called "La Navidad", the first Spanish settlement. After the Santa María sank, Columbus was forced to depart back to Spain with the Niña and the Pinta. As a result, he left 39 men and supplies at La Navidad to await for his return.
Appearance in the rap battle
The Santa María appeared briefly before the intro. It is assumed that Columbus rode it into battle.
