A Pokémon battle scene is where Ash Ketchum briefly rapped in Ash Ketchum vs Charles Darwin. It is also where Charles Darwin made an appearance.

Information on the location

A Pokémon battle scene is where the player battles wild Pokémon and other Pokémon Trainers throughout the Pokémon video game series. Pokémon battles are the central mechanic of the series. During a standard battle, the Pokémon at the top right of the screen is the opponent's, while the one at the bottom left is the player's. The player's options are shown at the bottom right. Next to the Pokémon is some basic information, including their name, gender, level, HP, and experience.

Appearance in the rap battle

This is the location where Ash Ketchum rapped his first line, "Darwin wants to battle? Doesn't seem like a fight!" Charles Darwin also made a brief appearance here. After the first line, the camera spun around and transitioned to traditional backgrounds, with Ketchum having a few static backgrounds before being in a grassy field like the ones in the Pokémon games and anime, while Darwin stood in front of the HMS Beagle.

Trivia

  • This is the fourteenth location to be shared by all rappers during the battle.
  • Instead of having Poké Balls in his lineup, Charles Darwin has a monkey.
  • During the first line, the subtitles are in the middle of the text box, mimicking the game when the player encounters another Pokémon Trainer and the text box reads, "[Trainer] would like to battle!"
