Information on the location[]
Comic books are a form of literature with pictures commonly sold in comic book stores. Many popular comic books are known to feature superheroes, vigilantes and/or crimefighters. A number of these comics are created by Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, etc. Other types of visual literature includes manga (e.g Dragon Ball, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and One Piece), graphic novels (e.g The Walking Dead, Hilda, and V for Vendetta), webcomics (e.g xkcd, Sarah's Scribbles, and Homestuck), among others.
Appearance in the rap battles[]
Jim Henson vs Stan Lee:[]
Stan Lee briefly appeared in a comic book titled "Super MC" during his first verse.
Deadpool vs Boba Fett:[]
Deadpool rapped within several panels of a comic book during his third verse.
The Joker vs Pennywise:[]
The Joker rapped here for the entirety of his battle. The many panels depicted different locations in Gotham City, including Arkham Asylum. The Justice League also made their group cameo here.
Trivia[]
- There have been sixteen rappers from comic books/graphic novels/manga in Epic Rap Battles of History (Batman, Robin, Rick Grimes, Goku, Superman, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Deadpool, Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, the Joker, and Thanos), but only Deadpool and the Joker have rapped in a comic book as their location.
- Stan Lee also rapped on a comic book as his location, but since he's not a comic book character, he is the only non-fiction person to have a comic book as a location.
- This is the second location to appear in back-to-back battles, after the stages in Michael Jackson vs Elvis Presley and Cleopatra vs Marilyn Monroe.
