The Albuquerque Desert is where Walter White rapped in Rick Grimes vs Walter White, and EpicLLOYD briefly rapped in Nice Peter vs EpicLLOYD 2. It is also where one of the walkers made its cameo appearance.
Information on the location
The Albuquerque Desert is located west of the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The specific part of the desert is likely the Tohajiilee Indian Reservation, a section of the Navajo Nation. It is one of the main settings for Breaking Bad and is the place where Walter White and Jesse Pinkman decided to have their first cook site.
When White and Pinkman cooked meth in seasons one and two, they would drive to the middle of the desert in an RV, a Fleetwood Bounder recreational vehicle, in order to cook in private and with less risk of being spotted. The RV served as a mobile laboratory for White and Pinkman to cook meth in. The RV was their main place to cook until it had to be destroyed to prevent them from getting caught by the DEA in season three.
Methylamine is an organic compound. It is one of the key ingredients to making methamphetamine. The search for methylamine is a major key plot point throughout the series, as the compound is cannot be synthesized by either White or Pinkman. The logo on the can of methylamine is from Golden Moth Chemical, a fictional industrial chemical manufacturing company from the series.
The RV and the desert are two of the most iconic elements in the show, featured in multiple promotional materials and often associated with the show.
Appearance in the rap battle
This is the location where Walter White rapped. White could be seen outside his RV rapping next to a can of methylamine. During his second verse, a walker was shown crossing the border and moving towards White after being dodged by Rick Grimes, but it is distracted when White throws a packet of meth to his right.
